Tangalle excursion – explore this charming coastal town, visit a Buddhist temple, and take part in a guided sound healing meditation led by a local monk.
Koggala Lake, tea & spice gardens – enjoy a boat ride across one of Sri Lanka’s most scenic lakes, surrounded by tropical nature and exotic birds, then visit a tea plantation and spice garden to immerse yourself in local traditions.
Galle Fort – wander through the historic Dutch fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and soak up its unique atmosphere.
Swimming with turtles – visit Wijaya Beach where you can watch sea turtles in their natural habitat as they gracefully swim through crystal-clear waters. If you feel like joining them, you’ll even have the chance to snorkel alongside these gentle creatures – an unforgettable experience that connects you with the raw beauty of Sri Lanka’s marine life.
- Beach time – relax on golden sands that are only short tuk tuk ride away from the retreat. If you’d like to try surfing or diving, that are not included, we’re happy to help you arrange sessions during your free time.
During the retreat you’ll also get to experience the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, a holistic system of health and wellbeing deeply rooted in Sri Lankan tradition.
One Ayurvedic massage is included in your stay. This treatment uses warm herbal oils tailored to your body constitution (dosha) and combines techniques of pressure, rhythmic strokes, and stimulation of vital marma points. It supports deep relaxation, detoxification, and restores the body’s natural balance.
If you wish to immerse yourself even more in this healing practice, additional treatments will be available to book on site.
Every day you’ll be treated to two carefully prepared meals, crafted by local chefs using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Each dish is inspired by local Sri Lankan ingredients, offering you the chance to discover the rich flavours of the island.
To give you maximum flexibility, most days lunch will be at your own expense. This way you can choose whether to keep it light, try local street food or indulge in a seaside café.

Where are we going to stay?
Roots Retreat is truly one of a kind. Nestled in nature, it offers a peaceful escape from the busier beachside venues, while still being close to the heart of Unawatuna.
We’ll be staying in a hidden sanctuary surrounded by lush tropical gardens, just a short tuk tuk trip to the golden beaches of Unawatuna. At Roots Retreat, this tropical luxury hidden gem, time slows down naturally: you wake up to birdsong, sip your morning tea under palm trees, and cool off in a natural pool.
This eco-friendly haven is designed for deep rest and reconnection: barefoot walks through the garden, monkeys playing in the trees and the scent of frangipani in the air. It’s the kind of place where you feel held by nature itself – peaceful, grounding and full of life.

Wyjazdy jogowe z yestem to idealna okazja, żeby odpocząć od codziennych obowiązków i życia w biegu, spędzić czas ze wspaniałymi ludźmi i zjeść przepyszne wegetariańskie posiłki. Oprócz codziennej praktyki jogi, jest też czas na wspólne spacery po okolicy, gry planszowe, rozmowy czy saunę. Niedługo jadę z chłopakiem na trzeci wyjazd i nie mam wątpliwości, że znów będzie to cudownie spędzony czas, a po powrocie będziemy wypoczęci i szczęśliwi.

Retreaty z yestem to dla mnie i mojej dziewczyny ostatnio ulubiona forma wypoczynku. Po dwóch niesamowitych wyjazdach z niecierpliwością wyczekujemy kolejnego. Atmosfera tych miejsc jest magiczna, a spotkani tam ludzie inspirujący. Jedzenie bardzo nam odpowiadało. Odcięcie się od codzienności sprawia, że każda sesja jogi staje się głębsza, bardziej ugruntowana w chwili, pozwalając nam na pełne doświadczenie obecności i odprężenia.
